Upon expiry of the relevant retention period, Personal Data is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymised. You may also request early deletion of your data as described in Section 12.
Data Security
npkr implements appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect Personal Data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. These measures include:
- Transport Layer Security (TLS/SSL) encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers;
- Access controls that limit internal access to Personal Data to authorised personnel only, on a need-to-know basis;
- Regular review of our security practices and server configurations;
- Use of reputable, security-audited hosting and infrastructure providers.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will take appropriate steps in accordance with Applicable Law.
International Data Transfers
As npkr operates an online platform, data collected through the Platform may be processed by our hosting or analytics service providers on servers located outside Pakistan. Where such transfers occur, we take steps to ensure that adequate protections are in place, including contractual safeguards with third-party processors.
Pakistan's data protection framework continues to evolve. Users should be aware that data protection standards in other jurisdictions may differ from those applicable in Pakistan. We will update this section as Pakistan's regulatory requirements develop.
Your Rights as a Data Subject
Subject to Applicable Law, you have the following rights in respect of Personal Data we hold about you:
- Right of Access: You may request confirmation of whether we hold Personal Data about you and, if so, a copy of that data.
- Right to Rectification: You may ask us to correct inaccurate Personal Data or complete incomplete Personal Data.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You may request deletion of your Personal Data where (i) it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, (ii) you withdraw consent and no other legal basis exists, or (iii) the data has been unlawfully processed.
- Right to Restriction of Processing: You may ask us to restrict processing of your Personal Data in certain circumstances, such as while we verify the accuracy of data you have disputed.
- Right to Data Portability: Where technically feasible, you may request that we provide your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to Object: You may object to processing of your Personal Data where we rely on legitimate interests as our legal basis, or where we process it for direct marketing (which we do not currently carry out).
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 16. We will respond within a reasonable period, and in any event within 30 days of receipt of a valid request. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended for use by adults aged 18 or over — or the higher minimum age required by the applicable Operator's license jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 18.
If we become aware that Personal Data has been collected from a person under 18 without verifiable parental or guardian consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that data from our records. If you believe that a child has submitted Personal Data to us, please contact us promptly at the address in Section 16.
Pakistan Regulatory Context
npkr's primary audience is in Pakistan. We acknowledge that Pakistan's data protection framework is developing, with the Personal Data Protection Bill and related legislation under consideration. We design our data practices to be consistent with widely recognised international privacy principles, including data minimisation, purpose limitation, storage limitation and data subject rights.
References to payment providers such as Easypaisa, JazzCash, Raast, HBL, UBL, Meezan Bank and Bank Alfalah on the Platform are included purely for informational context relevant to Pakistani users. npkr has no data-sharing arrangement or affiliation with these providers, and their mention does not imply any endorsement of this Platform by those institutions.
We do not represent that our data processing practices are approved by, or subject to oversight from, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), or any other Pakistani regulatory authority.
Changes to This Policy
npkr reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our data practices, applicable legal requirements or Platform functionality. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Continued use of the Platform after a revised Policy is published constitutes your acknowledgement of those changes. Where required by Applicable Law, we will take additional steps to notify users of significant changes.
